Give a client their own login
They watch the work happen in your software, under your name. They never see how it is done.
Before you start
You need a verified sending domain first. Their invite is the first email your software ever sends them, so it has to come from your address — we will not send it from ours. The button says so if you have not set that up yet.
Give it
- Open the client from your client list.
- Find Give [client] a login.
- Type the email of the real person at that business.
- Pick a level. Can watch sees the work. Can watch and approve adds the approve and turn-down buttons on articles and pages.
Picking a level grants it and sends the invite in the same tap. The link lasts an hour; after that they request a fresh one from the login page like anyone else.
What they see
- The overview — what has been done and what is happening.
- Their articles and service pages.
- Their leads.
- On the approve level: the approve and turn-down buttons, and nothing else new.
What stays with you
Settings, website connections, publishing setup, keywords, billing, and every other client you have. This is enforced when they log in, not hidden in the menu — typing a web address gets them nowhere.
They also never see a client switcher. That list is yours, and it stays yours.
Taking it away
Same card, Turn their login off. It bites immediately: any link they hold stops working and an open tab stops working, rather than waiting for a session to expire.
