Who is behind CitedBy

CitedBy is built and run by Steven. He spent fifteen years selling SEO to UK businesses. He stopped because the way it was sold did not work for the people paying: a monthly report they could not read, a phone that rang no more often, and a bill that carried on either way.

The work itself does move the phone: pages on the website for each job, a Google listing kept in order, reviews answered, the searches that matter watched. So he built software that does that work every month and shows you what it did.

What it does each month

For one business, every month, CitedBy:

• writes four articles and three area pages and publishes them to your website;
• tracks thirteen searches so you can see where you stand for the jobs that matter;
• checks your business details and your Google listing for gaps;
• writes replies to your Google reviews for you to approve, free the first month, then £97 a month;
• sends every enquiry to your phone as it arrives.

You approve the plan once. After that it runs. The steps only you can do, such as confirming your Google listing, are set out one at a time.

What you own

The pages and articles are published on your own website, on your own domain. If you stop paying, they stay where they are. Nothing sits on a server you cannot reach.

Who it is for

UK trades: plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, roofers, locksmiths, builders and the rest. One business, in one town or a few. We take at most three companies for each job in a town, so the pages it writes for you are not competing with pages it wrote for the firm down the road.
